This Zulu telephone wire basket combines traditional Zulu basket weaving skills with modern materials. Achieving the incredibly tight weave requires great hand and forearm strength, so these baskets are more often woven by men than women. This basket combines earthy plastic coated wires with bare copper wires to form a simple spiral pattern. It is approximately 3 inches deep and 6.5 inches across, with a rigid wall. We think it's a great size and shape for storing tea bags or stashing keys and a smart phone on your kitchen counter.
