Teardrop Basket Black and Natural

Our Teardrop Basket is crafted from valley grasses woven over a bamboo frame, a two part, two artisan (bamboo weaver and grass weaver) made basket from the heart of Rwanda.  These baskets are handcrafted from artisans who are part of the Peace Baskets Cooperative from historic methods found in the National Museum of Rwanda. This basket is gorgeous on display or for storing treasures, encompassing a delicately weave in a lightweight piece. The coloring process is derived from banana flower colorant, the flower has blue sap bonds with the soot from the base of the cooking pot to create the black hues in this basket. The dimensions are 6"x 10", and to care dust gently with a smooth and dry cloth.
