African Market Baskets, is a member of Green America and also, a member of the Fair Trade Federation, all the while donating 10% of their profits to a non-profit Every Basket Helps; striving to lessen poverty in northern Ghana where these sun hats are hand woven. These hats are beautiful and practical. Lightweight and tightly woven. These are a fantastic option for a durable sun hat. Each of our straw hats, have a braided leather adjustable chin strap and come in size small (19"-22"), medium (21"-23"), and large (23"-25").  Occasionally, these hats are called Bolga hats since, they originate from wild savanna grass called kinkahe found in the Bolgatanga region of northern Ghana.
