Huipil Purses

We are excited to be offering our selection of Huipil Purses now on the website! We offer two sizes; 15" x 13" with a 40" shoulder strap as our larger option and 12" x 11" with a 36" long shoulder strap, our smaller size. Each purse has a multicolored floral design made with floral embroidery on the front. The fabric is from recycled huipiles, poncho like tops and cortes wrap skirts. Both huipiles and cortes are woven garments worn by Mayan women for centuries. Each bag zips at the top and has a buttoned pocket on front. The brand Lucia's Imports works under Fair Trade principles to promote the beauty of Guatemalan art, handicrafts and culture all the while being committed to quality accessories that are fashionable as well as socially and environmentally responsible.
