This fair trade West African straw hat is both beautiful and useful. Tightly woven with a stiff brim, it makes an excellent sun hat. It has a braided leather adjustable goatskin chin strap, will fit a 23"-24" circumference head, and has a 17.5" diameter brim. Our West African straw hats are all handmade from elephant grass in the Bolgatanga region of Ghana, and are sometimes referred to as Bolga hats.

To shape the hat, wet it and put it over your head, then remove it and allow it to dry. It will conform to the shape of your head and also will stretch as much as .25" if necessary.
